In-Touch II:  The Integrated Paging Management System That Begins Where Others Leave Off

In-Touch II is the complete paging management system that efficiently integrates billing, inventory, accounts receivable and switch/terminal interface functions. No other system so effectively manages every area of your business on a daily basis.

Completely hardware and operating system independent, In-Touch II's "no limits" open architecture easily accommodates your needs as you grow, whether you have 10,000 customers or 10,000,000. Equally important, the system was designed for the future to work with the most advanced paging products and services.

In-Touch II combines advanced automation features with unique "seamless" interfacing. Written entirely in C, the system can be ported to operate with virtually any operating system, including Linux. It easily connects with a variety of different switches and terminals from multiple vendors, including Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. Retrieving call activity for usage-sensitive billing and system reconciliation is fully automatic.

Billing Capabilities

In-Touch II does it all, keeping track of unlimited recurring and incidental per-unit charges and billing of non-paging goods and services. You can define charges for rental, airtime, insurance, optional features and more - on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. In-Touch II provides support for an unlimited number of billing cycles per month, and each cycle can generate invoicing either in arrears or in advance.  The system even automates start-up/termination recurring charge proration and comprehensive multi-jurisdictional taxation. You get all this and much more in one billing package.

Inventory Control

In-Touch II offers a high level of inventory control. It judiciously keeps track of equipment (both serialized and non-serialized), telephone numbers, and capcodes. The status of all phone numbers and units can be instantly retrieved with telephone assignment functions to ensure the correct switch or terminal. Reports summarize in-use, aging and available numbers. There's historical tracking, too, cross-referenced by unit, telephone number and account. As for inventory, there's no limit on the number of user-defined service types, locations, telephone numbers or capcodes. The system can easily accommodate tracking of duplicate or multiple capcode units as well as non-paging goods and services.

Accounts Receivable

In-Touch II provides pending, current, 30, 60, 90 and 120-day account balances, as well as 30, 60, 90 and 120-day collection and disconnect notices (which can be sent to customers via e-mail, pager, fax or hardcopy). For archival and record keeping, the system also provides account ledger histories, and full on-line storage of invoices, which can be displayed internally and reprinted, emailed or faxed to customers. Based on preprogrammed criteria, unit service can be easily and automatically suspended.

Additional Features

Additional features include unlimited user-defined payment and adjustment types, multi-company/multi-location accounting, multiple operator batch entry and reconciliation of payments/adjustments.

Optional features add even more system versatility and include Operator Dispatch for alphanumeric paging service, enhanced billing and a full-featured point of sale solution. 

Switch/Terminal Interfacing

With its unique seamless interface to paging terminals and related switches, In-Touch II provides complete control over paging, voicemail, and any other external device with a computer interface. No "terminal emulation mode" is required, and no paging terminal need ever be programmed directly. Integrity between the switches and the billing system is therefore maintained at all times. An automated reconciliation feature further ensures integrity between the system and switches.

Full Reseller/Agent Support

The Reseller Interface, a standard In-Touch II feature, lets resellers/agents perform pager maintenance (activations and deactivations) on their specific unit inventory and be automatically billed based on their contract. A remote dial-in or Internet (telnet) connection provides access. Reseller remote dial-in via DTMF is implemented by integrating an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) terminal, and the optional Web-Touch product allows reseller access via a Web browser. For greater efficiency, resellers using an In-Touch II system can "seamlessly" interface to another In-Touch II system.

Resellers benefit because activation screens are quick and easy to use with full security and tracking. Carriers benefit because they can define the level of access to the paging system, including telephone numbers, coverage areas, and options, by customer.

With In-Touch II, a virtually unlimited number of reseller billing options can be set up. This includes prorating at the start or end across services or at a feature level, usage billing, varying charges based on frequency or baud rate, all uniquely tailored to each customer.

Custom Reporting/Analysis

In-Touch II's extensive data export and data replication capabilities let you analyze data and produce custom reports with Excel, Access, Crystal reports, and any other third-party data analysis or reporting software. The system's international/multilingual capabilities add versatility. On-line context-sensitive help and an efficient, consistent user interface make the system easy to learn and use. For security, access to In-Touch II programs and data fields is configurable by the user, and each user has his own Username and Password to the system.

Customer Care Advantages

The In-Touch II system makes all files immediately available to the operator. Information related to an account, such as an account number, name, pager telephone number, capcode, or handle are just a few keystrokes away. All other information can be instantly retrieved by cross-referenced inquiry screens.  These include:

  • Account Inquiry by Name: An alphanumeric search with full or partial name entered.
  • Account Status: Including name and address, current amount owned (including pending charges), aging, deposits, and ledger history.
  • Recurring Invoicing Inquiry by Account - Summary or Detail Invoice History: Past invoices can be retained indefinitely. An exact duplicate can be retrieved on screen, faxed or reprinted at anytime.
  • Equipment Tracking: Current status and history of pagers and telephone numbers by unit, telephone number and account.

In-Touch II also offers two very helpful features accessed through function keys:

  • Instant Page Pop-up: Allows operator to send a page while anywhere in the system simply by pressing the F9 function key.
  • Account Notes:  Account notes can be easily viewed, edited or created through function keys. Important notes can be set to automatically pop up when an account is referenced anywhere in the system. Review dates automatically remind the author of necessary action on a daily basis.

Web-Touch allows your resellers, business-to-business customers and end-users to access their accounts via the Internet any time.

Dispatch paging integrates billing, activation and dispatch of alphanumeric paging services into a single system and maintains a history of previously dispatched messages.
