ITMS Backs Major Cycling Players at Eurobike 2015

The entire bicycle industry has its eye on the last week of August, when Eurobike — the largest and most important bicycle trade show in the world — is held every year, showcasing the newest bikes, trends, product collections and accessories for the 2016 season.

ITMS Marketing is also paying close attention to Eurobike, as the entity will support three of the largest names in the bicycle industry throughout the trade show. The Bad Nauheim agency will oversee the planning, organization and implementation of public relations, press conferences and on-site customer support for KROSS, TranzX and Taitra, all major players in the cycling industry. As in previous years, ITMS has coordinated teams of specialists responsible for one of each of the three names the agency is supporting, ensuring each brand is showcased in the correct light.

Between August 26 and 29, companies from all over the world will present their latest innovations and new products at Eurobike. The highlights of the exhibition are typically Demo Day, the Eurobike Award Show and the Fashion Show, which all take place on the main stage. At the congress Travel Talk, the cycling and tourism industries got together at the international level in order to present and discuss the latest trends and innovations from the two industries. The specialized show will allow visitors to experience the latest innovations in the cycling world, not just regarding sports and city bikes but e-bikes that can be tested locally, as well. ITMS has accompanied the e-bike movement, the world’s fastest segment in the field of environmentally friendly mobility, since it’s early stages, which began more than nine years ago.

Progress to thrill e-bike fans

Since 2007, ITMS has consulted TranzX, which will also present its latest technology this year at Eurobike. The Taiwanese company has evolved through its partnership with ITMS, becoming one of the largest global developers and producers of propulsion systems for electric bikes.

The e-bike boom has drastically improved e-bike components sales in the past few years. Statistics indicate that in the European Union alone over 1.3 million e-bikes were sold in 2014, a market jump of 20.4 percent from the previous year. The steady increase of e-bike popularity points to this trend not slowing down, predicting increases in sales jumps for the next several years. TranzX’s products promise genuine riding pleasure, a long service life and environmental sustainability, displayed through the four new TranzX motors recently introduced as part of the cycling company’s latest developments. The manufacturer of bicycle components develops front, middle and rear motors, knowing that each has its individual merits.

Further, the Bad Nauheim marketing team will announce the new cooperation between Cobi and TranzX at Eurobike. This partnership enables smartphones to be used as the central screen on bicycle handlebars, while maintaining TranzX control on the handles.

Innovation for Western Europe

The undisputed leading bicycle manufacturer in Poland, Kross, has retained ITMS to help strengthen all aspects of its brand in the new markets. The marketing agency is orchestrating the company’s start at Eurobike with a major press conference outlining the brand’s export-oriented growth strategy.

The product focus for Kross is on the revised 2016 Enduro-Bike MOON, which will be available in three different versions and has established itself through its technical intricacies in a high-demand premium segment. In addition to new components and improve driving stability, the new bike ensures weight saving above all for a revolutionary overall performance.

ITMS will set a smooth foundation for Kross‘ entry into the major German market at Eurobike, using the annual press conference as a means to introduce the latest version of Moon and other high-end bikes for disciplines such as XC, triathlon, and Trail and Road.

Promoting awareness of global markets

For the fifth time since 2009, ITMS will organize Taiwan’s media activities at Eurobike, which include a large-scale press conference on the second day of the exhibition. This year’s communication focus is to raise awareness of trade in global markets while highlighting Taiwan’s strengths as the leading producer of high-end bicycles and bicycle components. This focus will also enable leading Taiwanese manufacturers and their economic regions to have the chance to establish themselves in these markets.

The Bad Nauheim PR specialists are in charge of all measures of press and media work throughout the fair. The press conference will feature a report on the global activity and trade statistics of Taiwan as the second largest bicycle nation as well as information on trends and news presented by the President of the Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) and CEO of Giant, Antony Lo. Following, five companies will present impressive innovations for 2016: Giant, the biggest bicycle manufacturer in the world; Kenda, a major tire manufacturer; BESV, a premium manufacturer of e-bikes; KMC, a manufacturer and distributor of bicycle chains; and Tern, a leading producer of folding bikes.

Specializing in international PR and marketing communication, ITMS Marketing is a significant driving force in the east-west connection of product marketing and services within the cycling industry. The agency will position the annual press conference as a means to encourage distributors and partners to share their ideas and promote the creation of new commercial channels.

ITMS will also utilize a web-based media service produced by the company and targeted at smaller names within the industry or companies who would like to enter the market, Fahrrad-PR.de, to aid in the communication strategy. With the industry-specific editorial service the agency offers smaller companies outside the established sector the opportunity to make their messages quickly and easily accessible to the trade press worldwide.
