Growing Media Interest for Qatar Airways

The Doha based airline Qatar Airways once again attended this year’s ITB trade show in Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, where they marked the tenth anniversary of the airline’s first flight to Berlin.

The press conference, organized by ITMS Marketing, was a great success with close to 200 journalists in attendance from all over the world.

For the second year running Qatar Airways’ German agency, ITMS Marketing, were able to secure a considerable amount of journalists for the press conference, continuing to build on their success from previous years in engaging an increasing number of media to report on the Gulf carrier.

The successful event is evidence of the growing importance and presence of the World’s 5-Star Airline in the European market. As launch airline for the Airbus A350 XWB, Qatar Airways made the headlines at the start of the year when it commenced operations of the world’s latest generation widebody airplane between Doha and Frankfurt on January 15.

During the press conference on 4 March, Qatar Airways updated the travel industry on the company’s latest developments; delivery of its second Airbus A350 XWB, its planned route expansion in Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as future investments for the airline. As always the journalists were given frank and detailed answers from the five-star airline’s GCEO, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. Afterwards they were able to visit the Qatar Airways booth for more information and to experience the luxury of the airline’s first class and business class seats.
