The release of the new short film “Passion and Performance. United in Hope” provides the perfect opportunity to look back at a national championship that impressed both on and off the court.

The Final Four of the German Men’s 60 Team Championships in Ober-Moerlen, organized by ITMS Sports, grew into an event that united top-level tennis, a line-up of the sport’s legends, strong media reach, seamless sponsor integration and meaningful community engagement.

Reach driven by strategic communication

Long before the first ball was struck, the impact of a carefully crafted communication strategy began to show. The creative and event teams at ITMS developed a coherent visual identity, compelling content and a communication framework that positioned the event prominently across broader media channels. The campaign reached tennis fans, clubs and regional networks through tennis federation channels, regional associations, traditional media outreach, social media, a central landing page and outdoor advertising. On site, spectators experienced a championship weekend with a vibrant tournament atmosphere.

Professional event organization at every level

Delivering an event of this scale requires far more than impressive tennis alone. The ITMS Sports team coordinated a comprehensive concept that brought all components together seamlessly, transforming the venue into a professional championship setting. This included a temporary center court, a lively food and fan area and a full live stream of the final matches that reached tennis fans worldwide. Numerous partners, led by RentGroup, Alfa Romeo and Inkospor, contributed essential services. Supported by hotel hospitality, event and tent infrastructure, a stringing service, volunteers, ball kids, a shuttle service and a catered players’ lounge, these combined elements gave the weekend the feel of a top-tier championship.

Collaboration with the city, the mayor’s office, the neighboring football club and many local supporters was equally crucial. Expanded parking facilities, adapted traffic routes and optimized access ensured smooth operations throughout the tournament weekend.

Serving Aces Against Cancer as the emotional focal point

At the heart of the weekend was the initiative Serving Aces Against Cancer, which was far more than a complementary element. Instead of charging entry fees, donations were collected for the Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid). The initiative also unveiled its new logo and announced a partnership with the Hessian Tennis Association. Both announcements drew significant attention and elevated the initiative’s visibility. The strong response ensured that the fundraising goal was surpassed. The commitment shown by players, fans, sponsors and supporters gave the project meaningful momentum for the next steps in the coming year.

A film that makes the impact visible

The new short film brings all of these elements together. It captures the intensity on court, the home team’s title win, the emotional atmosphere beyond the baseline, the professionalism of the event execution and the visible connection between sport, community and communication. It documents a weekend that went far beyond a sporting highlight and illustrates how a well-orchestrated concept can resonate with clubs, partners, tennis fans and the wider community.
