The city’s new electric buses, driven by the agency’s creative vision, make a bold statement by combining sustainable design with historic landmarks – moving people both physically and emotionally.
The first electric bus of Bad Nauheim’s new public transport fleet was officially introduced. The design, developed by ITMS, highlights natural elements and key city landmarks, reinforcing the message of sustainable mobility
A major milestone in sustainable urban mobility has been reached in Bad Nauheim. The city has fully electrified its public transport fleet, marking a significant step toward a cleaner and more sustainable future. On January 28, the city’s public utility company (Stadtwerke Bad Nauheim) officially unveiled the new zero-emission buses – a key move in the city’s shift toward sustainable transportation. With a fresh design developed by ITMS, the new buses serve as a visual statement of sustainability, nature, and local identity.
The Bad Nauheim Public Utilities played a key role in implementing this forward-thinking project. “By fully electrifying our city bus fleet, Bad Nauheim is making a strong commitment to sustainable mobility,” said Dr. Thorsten Reichel, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Bad Nauheim. “This not only contributes to climate protection but also improves air quality and reduces noise pollution in our city. The creative design gives our fleet a distinct visual identity, and we thank ITMS for delivering a concept that perfectly reflects our vision for a greener Bad Nauheim.”

As the winner of a creative pitch, ITMS was responsible for developing the design concept for Bad Nauheim’s new electric buses. The goal was to complement cutting-edge green technology with an equally forward-thinking visual identity.
The design incorporates key elements of the historic spa town of Bad Nauheim. Roses—one of the city’s most recognizable symbols—along with other floral motifs adorn the buses, immediately signaling their environmentally friendly nature. Additionally, the sides of the buses feature various city landmarks, transforming them from mere means of transport into moving ambassadors for Bad Nauheim.

“Our goal was to create a visual identity that reinforces the importance of the mobility transition while promoting awareness of sustainability,” explains Carolin Pascal, Associate Director at ITMS. “By blending natural symbolism with modern design, we’ve made the concept of zero-emission transportation visually engaging and meaningful.”
With this new visual identity, ITMS has made a creative contribution to its hometown’s sustainability efforts –demonstrating how design, environmental consciousness, and city heritage can be seamlessly combined.
